The year of the comeback?

Al ferof makes his debut sun Peterborough chase , I will have a punt on him ew for king george 33-1

The long-absent Pont Alexandre could make his chasing debut at Gowran Park on Saturday.

The seven-year-old French recruit was hugely impressive on his first two starts for Willie Mullins two seasons ago and was sent off a hot favourite for the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at the 2013 Cheltenham Festival.

He had to make do with minor honours, finishing third behind The New One, and has been sidelined by injury since then.

Pont Alexandre could, however, now make his comeback in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase.

Mullins said: "Pont Alexandre is entered at Gowran Park on Saturday.

"We have a number of entries and will decide later in the week.

"He's in good form and has schooled well."

And another

took a while longer but he is back too :)

That has to go down as some performance today, the runner up won a big pot and beat a decent field at the P Power meeting and was rated 150 for today, the winner came well clear and could easily enter the Gold Cup reckoning on the strength of todays effort....

Well done to the cue carders

I had no idea where to post this but the title of this thread seemed appropriate! Bay of Freedom returns at Wexford tomorrow night and the owner is very hopeful and will be in attendance with his beautiful American wife - talk about pressure! Thanks for the heads up BOF. :encouragement:

Price a bit skinny, but I will get on him and cheer him home for the lads!

GoodLuck BoF.

Congrats BOF.
Nicked a little of the 11/4 but only played small (got worried about the drift), thanks for the updates and good luck with whatever plans you have for the future with the horse

Well done bof. Money pit no more.

A great read BoF. I'll be watching with interest tomorrow, good luck!

There was a little 6s around last night but that appers to have disappeared this morning, I've nicked some 9/2 which looks to be the best price.....

Just grabbed some 9/2 with laddies. Good luck

7/2 now there's only 5.
I actually think 7/2 e/w is better value with 5 going to post than 9/2 with 6 runners, there are only two places that pay so I'd much rather take the shorter price and remove a runner.
I also got some 1.75 three places on the fair but the rule 4 now makes that about a 1.40 shot

Thanks for the support guys and sorry for the poor performance; he just did't pick up the it and was looking after himself the whole way around. I am concerned the ulcers have flared up again and he is being tested today - will let you know. Maybe 2017 will be another year of the comeback!
