2016 Ryanair

Will RR be more tempting running Vautour here now with VVM more likely going to the Mares.

In my opinion no chance - big difference in RR running his best gold cup here and Gigginstown running their 4th best gold cup hope (road to riches) which probably will happen. There won't be a ricci runner in this.

:devilish: why not run him in the Champion Hurdle and leave rest ot them where they are. Can win hurdle on the snaff and come back on Friday for Gold Cup. Flyingbolt style.

Rich Ricci is very unsure about Vautour, Gold cup all or nothing, hasn't been himself back home but still has 10days till the big day. If he doesn't win the Gold Cup he can win the next few Ryanairs.

Listening to Ricci tonight I think ruby will get his way and Vautour runs in Ryanair ( just my view)

David Casey negative on Vautour stamina for Gold Cup. He's thick as thieves with Ruby. So it's Willie & owner v Ruby & assistant trainer.

Ricci did say last night he respects Casey as a judge.

Who do you think would win that argument ? I'd reckon the bloke that owns it & the bloke who trains it might just hold sway - neither have ever won a gold cup, both are desperate to do so, both horses trained for the gold cup and at every opportunity afforded to them, both have said the horse is going to the gold cup - why do people still think it's going to go to the Ryanair ?

Because its a penalty kick for him ?

If Ruby, possibly the best jump jockey ever, suggests Vautour doesn't have the stamina for the GC, shouldn't that be the most decisive piece of info to consider, that also poses the question "why do Coral have him odds on to ride Vautour and odds against to ride Djakadam in a match bet? " I would have had those the other way round

Because they don't want the whole world to lump on ap and send the bookies into administration? If the ground gets better that is.

Vautour shortened up by Betbright, obviously traders in his own company not convinced by Ricci assurances, can't trust him any more

Should Betbright not always be worse price on Ricci horses ?

They are now saying on twitter ( via a Galway Preview ) that Gangster beat Vautour in a piece of work last week,

Not sure about Betbright MG, I would have thought they would be bigger on Vautour for this given Ricci's statement that he will run in the Gold cup or nothing, I must say recent comments have me feeling very negative on Vautour making it to the fez. Perhaps all this talk of training him for the Gold cup, whatever that means, is the wrong regime for the horse and this is why he's having problems.

Judged on what he has done at Cheltenham he is Pegasus - everywhere else his form makes him just a good and occasionally moody horse.

Just trained for the day though, like so many from the yard, others can take a heavier programme and perform at the top of their game time after time, most can't, goes to show what a true phenomenon Hurricane Fly was

Yep - I wonder did the King George bottom him this year.

More money again today for VL, confidence appears to be growing, should be fav by Sunday

Taquin De Seuil as short as 8's too, he would be interesting if back to his best, would jump most of the opposition into the ground, was an excellent winner of the JLT 2 years ago but disappointed in this last year, must be showing something at home for connections to have decided to go here rather than the handicap route

Seems to be support for a Jonjo renaissance at the Festival. Id like to have seen a bit more evidence on racetrack but he has done it before.

looks like vautour will be left in today

will be a nasty rule 4 if they decide to go to Gold Cup.

Maybe McCoys plea yesterday persuaded them all or was that the start of softening up process.
