2016 JLT Novices Chase

They'll keep options open in case there are any more withdrawals from the Arkle but assuming there aren't and there isn't a freak weather forecast for vastly different ground they'll go Jlt - just been told Faugheen out ?

GLV has been weak for JLT. :(

As one of my interests I've been watching this closely and all week there has been bits and pieces of 14 put up on the machine but it disappears, best price now 12.5 which is fairly consistent with the horses 10/1 industry price.
He has been 30ish for the Arkle which is a better guide to his target, if I start seeing some 16 available for the JLT then I'll get concerned, any bigger and he's a NR

I'd say Black Hercules could be heading RSA now going by the betting yesterday. Hope I'm wrong as I've backed him for the four miler. I'm sure Ruby will be pushing for it as he doesn't look to have a decent ride in it.

How come Douvan is still in this race. I thought if he def not heading here. He would be out the market now.

I can't see any situation where Douvan ran in the JLT, other than if he unseated Ruby early in the Arkle and was 100% OK to run two days later.

Mullins always leaves his options open until the final decs stage....even when the target has already been decided..or is still to be decided, the horses get multiple entires right to the last possible minute..

Black Hercules: "He is the one that I am thinking most about. He is favourite for the National Hunt Chase, but he raced very keen with Ruby the last day and I wonder, if he did that again, would he get home?

"I don't think I have mentioned it to Mr Wylie yet but it has been on my mind to bring him back for the RSA Chase or even the JLT Novices' Chase. I actually think he might be better suited by coming back (in intended trip) and that one is up for discussion big time."

Garde La Victoire looks to have shortened a fair bit today, presumably as a result of Hobbs comments at a preview evening that he preferred this race and would only run him in Arkle is it came up soft.

10s still available on the high st, if you fancy the horse the 10s should be snapped up now, trading 17/2 on the 'fair....

Got to laugh. You have a favourite then on the eve of the Festival the trainer suddenly decides it might be a better idea to run over nearly a mile and half shorter trip. Is there an owner in the yard who actually decides where they want their horse to run without a big time discussion?

Hobbs siding with the JLT for Garde La Victoire according to Matt Chapman who says get spoke to Hobbs earlier today.

Poor Shaneshill, should have run in Neptune last year and I think would have won, now this year RSA after not staying the trip over hurdles last season and earlier on in this season Mullins was thinking Arkle as back up to Douvan....crazy imo...JLT is the right race for Shaneshill but as was said last nite some of the Mullibs horses dont run in the races to suit the horse...MAD!!

Not the first horse yhat's been placed poorly from his arsenal for me.....
