The Boodles Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

In what world does the impressive winner of the most important (by a margin) triumph trial go and run in the Fred winter. Gordon should have at least 2 that will have more up their sleeve with their Mark than he will have after winning 3 on the bounce. Going to the boodles would be a grave, stupid mistake IMO and I’m sure Gordon’s more sense than that. And I’d hope chevely park would put their foot down and tell him there’s no chance if not.

Ive been wrong before, but I can’t wait for this silliness to be put to bed.

The clue was in this post earlier for those that read it properly earlier Toni. I think pretty much everyone missed exactly what it was saying. #394

I’ll get it wrong for the sake of others ... are you suggesting that the weight he’ll be carrying (with a claimer onboard) would be analogous to the previous 2 winners?

Serious confidence in Jordan Gainford for the festival this season. Probably end up on TBO as well.

Maybe Quilixios could end up in the Boodles, to give Chevely Park the opportunity to have a winner each day of the Festival. Q on Tuesday, Sir G on Wednesday, EA on Thursday and APT on Friday.

Yes, exactly that EE.

That’s alright then :cool-new: Interesting point too. I thought he’d have been rated far too highly.

As I mentioned the other day, was notable too that the boys on Upping the Ante completely ignored Q when running through potential winners of the Triumph.

Wish I’d taken the NRNB 6s about him earlier in the week.

The thing is, if Q ends up here then one of GEs highest profile owners will expect him to win and certainly not be beaten by another from the same yard. That wouldn't look good would it.

That should give you an idea of the confidence NW.

You seem very confident he's coming this way Spectre....even bullish. Do you know something the rest of us don't or is it just a very personal hunch ? I'm not scared to ask !

The detail is for offline Lobos. I wouldn’t misdirect with a hunch though.

Cheers. Good enough for me. Bang goes my Glorious Zoff bet ! :excitement:

He’ll get his UK rating with the rest of the Irish handicappers next week Jackie.

The expectation is 147.

Yes me too, and Riviere d'Etel as well I presume :sorrow:. On the plus side having Q at 22-1 TWAR could turn out OK. :encouragement:

We await further news with interest.

That’s what I thought although wasn’t sure he was in an earlier batch of ‘entries’ by Gordon when he was fishing. The claimer angle is interesting but do they have a good record of winning races at the festival (serious question)?

Jordan Gainford is going to the very top. Cool as a cucumber and very talented. In his embryonic career he already has a 20% win rate. And he won’t have the added pressure of a crowd. With Quilixios and The Bosses Oscar he has a perfect opportunity to showcase his talent at his first Festival. I’m sure there will be others top rides for him too.

He looks a good jockey for sure but you’re still trading weight for experience and proven quality. If it was that easy then all the handicaps would be won by conditionals.

Just to remind folks that the suggestion Q could come here isn't very recent, GE mentioned this as long ago as 16th Feb.

"Elliott did add that Quilixios could run in the Boodles if afforded a favourable mark, but that seems unlikely after his Grade 1 win at Leopardstown".

So out of interest - What odds do people think would be offered on Jordan G 2+ festival winners?

Q/TBO double is best priced 48/1 or 43/1 NRNB
