Up To Something was on my radar but forgot to look again...

He got a mention in the value betting column

At a much bigger price I was tempted by the 50/1 available on Up To Something, who was going well just behind the leaders when taking an innocuous fall in Poole Master’s Grand Sefton.

He could be very well handicapped off 132 now – he was rated 140 not long ago – and Charlie Longsdon applies a first-time hood and the services of Denis O’Regan in a bid to revive his fortunes.

However, it’s an awful long time since he finished a race off with any sort of competence and on this occasion I’ll resist the dangling carrot. Instead of splitting stakes on two selections I would rather have an each-way bet on Standing Ovation, who really does look to have a good chance at the price.

Not sure how AP managed to find trouble there, costing him the win in the process. :sorrow:

Might be a few more comments like this one ...

Winner was impressive there

Winning trainer Malcolm Jefferson: "You get a horse like this who comes along every now and again. He could be a very nice two-mile chaser."

2016 Arkle ?

This just about sums that up

Lovely. Quite unlucky to bump into Coneygree on chase debut. Without Gold Cup winners in the field Saphir Du Rheu is pretty useful.

Time to back Nicholls blind

I cant bring myself to back Al ferof but the way PFN is going anything is possible.

Well played with Our Kaempher FM.

Cheer OV, I've had a good hour!

What does everyone think of tomorrow's card? I'm slightly underwhelmed.

All about one race.

Not the same since they moved the Aintree Hurdle.

UDS would have given it a bit of star quality but easy to see why they ducked it.

WD BTW - I am on some run of near misses.

There are times I think I am not that bothered by the Grand National. Just a handicap etc etc.

Great spectacle and all but there are other days racing I enjoy more.
