Defo Mayo great angle to have bash the bookies....

I don't really know anything about this but i do think it is a bit weird. Horses which have been bred for years to run fast suddenly started needing breathing ops to try and see races out, usually resulting in significantly improved form. To my mind Nicholls seemed to really start all of this and now everyone else is doing the same has moved on to ulcers.

There may well be something in it but a suspicious mind could view it as a convenient excuse to take a horse out of action for a while and then have a ready reason for being a better horse. I haven't really taken the time to look in to it, but something doesn't sit right with me.

Interesting to see Kings Palace in that list, I hadn't heard any doubts expressed about his staying ability, if this enhances his chance i think it may be time to go slightly lumpier on the bet

That's true, when I first backed KP for the RSA there was no sign of a threat from Coneygree but there was with Don Poli, my personal thinking has been that DP will go 4 miler route, the other that is a worry for me is The Young Master, but he's another that I had pencilled in for the 4 miler. Coneygree looks destined for the Gold cup I reckon because the connections have stars in their eyes

Ferguson said: "Aqalim will run in the Pertemps having finished second last time out at Haydock. He will wear a visor for the first time, just to help him focus that bit more."
