How are we going to pick the official FJ accumulator ?

Who are the candidates for the judges?

Assuming we are going for 4 selection acca, maybe 2 judges picking 2 horses each?

1 Acca for each 4 days?
or/and
1 acca for all races?

I think we should do a Yankee with one horse each day.

We can have a bit of banter and anyone can nominate a horse and make their case for it but we will need a judge who has the final pick for for each day.

I would go with:

Tuesday: Love Racing
Wednesday: Old Vic
Thursday: Paz
Friday: MrMcGoldrick

Mayo I dont think I should be a judge. You can go in instead of me.

Like the idea. We need a timetable. I think we should make minimum price of the selection say 8/1 ?

alright then :o

Judges need to submit the selections at *pm the day before the race or *am on the day incase of any non runners?

Maybe we could do one to cover the four days, then one each day to include that days main pick, that way we keep the main bet selections alive for the four days even if the first ones lose

Thanks guys. You just gave me the hardest day of the Fest to beat the favourites. :D
.

Loads of nice bets on Tuesday :)

Lets try the one horse per judge thing - need buy in from the other guys and threads for horse nominations. Timetable ?

I think it should be 1 horse per day per judge lol.

I think we could throw that wide open and just have a general tipping comp with one horse per day.

Ill try and set out some rules for a few tipping contests tomorrow.

Yes. 1 to cover the whole fest is good, basically 4 best of the best picks.

Shall we first vote which races for each day? I think its pointless with Arkle selections and maybe Mares if AP runs.

Any other races to avoid?

So would the judge's job be to select from the nominations of others, I'm guessing that's how it would work

I would say we would need to avoid races where the top of the market looks to be particularly strong if we're going to be making selections over a certain price

If we leave it open then the judge can decide.

or pick their own. Like family fortunes :)

I am happy to go with any way you want Mayo. OV - you agree?

We first we need to give the FJ members the chosen races to pick horses from.

Btw, I am still not happy with day 1. But will have to just deal with it. :p

Ok lets get this ball rolling for the members to start studying.

I nomintate the following races for Day 1.

Race 1. Supreme Novices Hurdle
Race 2. Festival Handicap Chase
Race 3. National Hunt Chase
Race 4. Novices Handicap Chase

OV - do you want to start the threads in the comp forum?
