SIMON SQUIRREL (4 b g Robin Des Champs – Misty Heather)
Form: 1- Trainer: Paul Nicholls Owner: Andrea & Graham Wylie

Out of a full sister to Rock On Ruby and created a favourable impression in taking a Chepstow bumper on debut for Charlie Brooks, tracking the leaders and travelling strongly for much of the contest, ridden to lead over two furlongs out and staying on strongly inside the final furlong to see off Rock The Kasbah by 4½ lengths. There was an awful lot to like about the way this gelding went about things on debut, seeing off a well-bred, strongly-fancied newcomer and another with solid bumper form; has been privately purchased by current connections since and rates as a decent prospect for the season ahead, bred to excel over obstacles.
GAITWAY (4 b g Medicean – Milliegait)
Form: 1- Trainer: Nicky Henderson Owner: Jenny Powell
http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/...sales-bumper-standard-open-nh-flat-race/video
This gelding posted one of the most impressive performances of the season when landing the DBS Spring Sales Bumper at Newbury in March (7/2 chance), racing in mid-division and making steady headway from the top of the straight, drawing clear with the runner-up from the two furlong marker and produced to lead entering the final furlong, keeping on well despite clear signs of inexperience to score by a length from Tea For Two (pair 34 lengths clear of remainder). It was a most impressive debut success from this gelding, overcoming greenness to see off a more experienced rival who had finished second in a Listed bumper on his previous outing, needing only hands-and-heels to get on terms; undoubtedly has the potential to develop into a leading light in the 2m novice hurdle division.
this one has his own thread on irish sports section of betfair...
TELL US MORE (5 b g Scorpion – Zara’s Victory)
Form: 1- Trainer: Willie Mullins Owner: Gigginstown House Stud
Sold for £290,000 at auction last December and looked a fine prospect when making a winning debut under Rules in a 2m 2f bumper at Gowran Park in March (8/11 favourite), tanking along at the head of affairs for the most part, extending his advantage at the top of the straight and drawing clear on the bridle inside the final two furlongs to run out a very easy 12-length winner from Grand Isola. It was a visually taking debut performance from this point-to-point recruit, it being reminiscent of classy stablemate Faugheen’s debut success in a bumper the previous spring; very unlikely he beat anything as good as his stablemate did first time up, but it would still be a something of a surprise were this son of Scorpion unable to make up into a very smart novice hurdler this term.
IRISH point-to-point winner Tell Us More starred at the Brightwells Cheltenham December Sale on Friday when selling to Harold Kirk for £290,000.
The four-year-old son of Scorpion was a hugely impressive winner at Tattersalls point last Sunday for trainer Willie Codd - brother of leading amateur jockey Jamie - and he had a host of suitors, including Gordon Elliott, who opened the bidding at £150,000.
The imposing gelding, from the family of Philip Hobbs's classy hurdler In Contrast, was bought as a store by Peter and Ross Doyle for €27,000.
"He has been bought for an existing client and will go into training with Willie Mullins," said Kirk. "He's a gorgeous horse - today's standout - and he won his point very well. I wasn't there when he won, but the right people were on the phone telling me we should try and get him.
"He's by an exciting young sire and he would be the first one we've had by him. He should make a smashing chaser - he's a big-framed, scopey type."
