Ryanair 2020

It can also be a stepping stone to the bigger races. I see Imperial Commander won the Ryanair in 2009 and then the Gold Cup in 2010.

So connectiomns were terrified of taking on Kauto Star and Denman so dodged them and went Ryanair. The fact he won the gold cup the following season just proves my point.
Imagine how much better the gold cup would have been if he had of lined up. They were scared so they dodged it and it took something away from what could have been an even greater gold cup.

The Ryan Air weakens the true championship races.

We would have had the 2007, 2008,2009 and 2010 gold cup winners going head to head in the 2009 gold cup if the option to dodge didnt exist.

I like the Ryanair as well for reasons others have mentioned.

It serves a purpose for me.

With Douvan heading straight to the QMCC & with CPS/CE both looking like QMCC contenders, even in the absence of one of them I would say Min is now pretty much nailed on to run here

No points for originality there Charlie :p

I've had him nailed on since Aintree last year :highly_amused:

Moved to QMCC thread

Aso not done a lot wrong since a close 2nd in this last year. Only entry is Ryanair and going straight there.33/1 is far too big and I've added him to my list. Loves Cheltenham, better horse going Left Handed, not ground dependant, twice placed in this and a trainer who knows her onions. Decent chance.

...Min is 20-1 with PP to win the Dublin Chase and Ryanair.

Not best price is it ??

....It’s certainly not a wow price. I’m sure there’ll be better value elsewhere when that market expands. Certainly one to keep an eye on.

they must have been worried by exposure last year cos the prices suck this time around

Yeah that was my feeling. Not a single one of those specials that looks attractive

Happy to hear HDB say APT very likely to run in Ryanair even if he does win Irish Champion Chase next week. Right decision Henry.

If horses are winning key 2 mile trials and then going for the Ryanair... the implemenation of the Ryanair has ruined the festival in my opinion.

The QMCC is one of the best races you could imagine, chasers, going as fast as they can.....

If they win the 2m G1 at DRF and go for this soft option, it'll be horrible.

The well made point I agree with, is that there should be other left handed circa 2m4f races to go for elsewhere.....

but it's bringing up old ground and I'm on APT either race so I'll shut up :p

Yes, I need to contact race planning about the lack of mid-dist LH graded races.

Especially as the ‘new’ festival has seen the creation of the Mares hurdle, M Pipe, Marsh, Ryanair and Close Bros races, all intermediate trips...

Strike while the iron is hot?

He won't win anyway, he's a handicapper pretending to be a Grade 1 horse :highly_amused:
