Arkle 2020

I couldn't watch yesterday but just watched back and I am very impressed with Fakir. Jumped superbly and won cosily. Couldn't have asked for a better start, especially against Melon who also gave a good account of himself.

Yeah I think Fakir was pretty good. I'll look to add him with free bets at the end of the month.
 
Added Fakir and couldn't help myself by mopping up best price again on Trump.
 
Looks like Sunday’s trial could be a head to head again between al dancer and getaway trump. If al dancer wins again can we really see its price drop that much. Was hoping a few more notable names would turn up.
 
Well actually rouge vif has good form so could be an interesting race
 
Updates from Willie today on a few:

Melon ran the other day, and he looks like he wants to go up in trip. He was giving 8lb to a good horse (Fakir D'Oudairies) - who won't be getting that after Christmas. The winner hurdled his fences, while we jumped them like a chaser - he just wants a trip.

Tornado Flyer was very good the other day, and we'll try to keep him to the minimum trip - so the Racing Post Novice Chase and the Irish Arkle over two miles will be his aim. He'll go on good ground and has plenty of ability.

Laurina has options, a mares' chase at Thurles or a beginners' at Gowran in the next 10 days - I hope she'll make one of those, and I'd say Gowran might be favourite at the moment.

Might front run, and jumps well.
If that wins.
The Irish will be rubbing their hands.

This is still the market with the most value in imo. Of the front 10 in the betting 4 definitely aren't running and another 3 are doubtful runners. Ive currently backed Getaway Trump (not at a great price) Riughe Vif and Nube Negra. Someone mentioned Notebook at 50s and I'm sure there's others too that look good value currently.

Amazingly, despite me believing he won't be good enough, and I still do think that, I agree. I think he wins this weekend. Was in the middle of the 28/1 in the slip when it went to 20's so decided against it. Was only going to use it for cash out anyway.

Could be. One of the few races that the English have monopolized over the last 20 years or so.
 
Gavin lynch tipped up fakir any race in his section this week at 8/1. In the al dancer camp atm but if it’s a poor race on Sunday I might have to sway over to the Irish side but hope this is not the case.
