Russell tipped TNO in the RP today
I am heading Cheltenham direction later this morning so will probably not be on here much this week.
Good luck to you all.
My final thoughts on day 1
Supreme
Not convinced by Irving & think the Mullins horses offer poor value in comparison to the Henderson pair. The support of Vaniteux has to be significant. Henderson has had enough good hurdlers through the yard to know one when he sees it. ( Yea I know he has hit the cross bar lately)
Arkle
Wonder if Rock on Ruby and Champagne Fever might cut one anothers throats ? Also record of front runners in the Arkle is brutal. Id be all over Trifolium but there were some whispers ( never know whether to believe from that yard) of some kind of setback after the Irish Arkle. Dodging Bullets had a hard race last time and his form has tailed off in other seasons. At the prices I might end up backing Grandouet ...if Nicholls think Hinterland has a real chance in the Champion Chase then the Henry VII form is the one to be with. Good ground also improves chances.
Festival Handicap
Ill be looking at weights and backing something in bottom two or three.
Champion Hurdle
Just talking myself around in circles on this. OC might not yet have peaked and TNO's jumping freaks me out for all that he has profile of the winner. Maybe a case of throwing a blanket over the lot...thought Melodic offered a bit of value earlier but ground surely gone for him. Remember reading Pat Keane of examiner saying he wouldnt back Hurricane Fly again after watching last years race but like him and many more getting sucked in that direction. For all that think he will hit a bigger price IR than SP and will probably set up a back to lay on MTOY hopefully winning but taking back my stake if not collecting. Fully expect him to trade odds on at some stage.
Mares
Same 1-2 as last time.
4 Miler
No value in foxrock now. Will back a Gigginstown runner on the day.
Novice Handicap Chase
Best horse usually wins this so only a handicap in name so will pick something near top of ratings tomorrow.
