Cheltenham Handicap Shortlists

I've been pestering the handicappers a little lol BHA's response on TS below:

Hi Jack,

As this horse is Irish trained we don’t have any published marks for him at present. We only give marks to Irish horses when they are entered for a race over here or connections inquire as to what their mark would be in GB.

We keep our own ratings for all Irish jumps races. Therefore, when an Irish-trained horse is entered for a race over here, we use our own ratings to formulate a handicap mark for the horse in question rather than rely on the Irish handicap mark.

Regarding hurdle/chase ratings, we can (and do) take account of form shown in the alternate code when assessing a horse. So a horse’s hurdle mark could move up or down depending on how it gets on over fences, and vice versa.

Hope this helps.

Andrew

Flawless Escape entered in the Pertemps Qualifier at Musselburgh on Sunday. He’s been given a mark of 136 and will need to run in order to get qualified unless they go for Punchestown instead. I’m personally not a fan after he bombed in the Martin Pipe when favourite last year.

Thanks
Id be interested in him. On his 3mile hurdle run in the DRF handicap hurdle last year it reads well.

He’s only recently been added to the Pertemps market and someone has gone straight to SkyBet NRNB and screwed the price up.

Lots of blue for The Storyteller..

Yep oddschecker is a sea of blue on The Storyteller for Coral Cup, Gordon must have said something.

He has to have mentioned it today. I keep refreshing Barry Orr's Twitter page to see if the video has been posted. Obsessed!

Really pleased to see it cut.

Bit of a rollercoaster this one and we've not even got a clue what is happening still!

Kudos for effort Jack - top man

Cracking Smart is well. Would love to see a Pertemps Qualifier entry.

If he magically came back to form he'd have a huge chance in that.
I saw he was down for work on Barry orrs list. Any mention?

Nope but he's sound so there's still hope for the any race bets.

Swordsman (martin pipe)

They ran him over the wrong trip last time in a graded race. I'd expect him to show improvement up in trip in handicap company.

...from what I can see, entries for Ballymore (66-1 nrnb) and Albert Bartlett (33-1 nrnb).

Be a better 33/1 shot in the Pipe than the AB you'd think!

Glenloe gone blue on oddschecker for the Kim Muir today . 16's and 14's now.

What is the ceiling for the Kim Muir? Is it 145?
It looks as though Glenloe is rated 144... is this the Irish rating?
If so, is there a strong chance that he could be upped by the English Handicapper?

144 in the UK. Given it before Plumpton.
