Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2019

JP has got a serious chance at winning all 3 novice hurdles plus the Triumph this year

Fakir D'Oudaries - Supreme
Champ - Ballymore
Birchdale - Albert Bartlett
Sir Erec - Triumph

You've got to back it now :p

From the exchanges no way birchdale goes here currently.... annoying and nicky putting away punters again!

Depends who you thinks sat on the exchange. Top notch was 300.0 and still a 100.0 the day before his ryanair trial.

I was laying monallee last year at 9/2 and 5/1 the day before decs for the JLT where the money was pouring in and people were assuming.

Is the few quid to be laid informed money or an assumption because champs fav.

Or a bit of both. ?:devilish:

not enough money exchanging by the looks of it to be anything but 2x2 merchants, and no reason for the yard to make the decision now is there ? Even if they've chatted about it, it'll not be concrete and could change.

Hoping we’ll see the reemergence of the great beast Diese Aba later this week, entries on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

I could be wrong but I’m sure 365 have pushed Birchdale out from 10s to 14s for this race. Have a decent ticket and I’m sure the cash out value has went down also.

Feel a bit stupid about saying this, but I have just watched the replays of Champ, and I have probably done him a little disservice.

Prior to the handicap win I had said I expected him to be a graded winner, in the 'General Horse Racing' section of the forum, and I backed him for that accordingly, and the Challow didn't seem quite the crawl as I remembered it from first viewing and the way he quickened was very good.

I still have some doubts about him though, one being as keen as he travels, is he going to get up the hill over slightly further (half a furlong) than what he has run this season? And of course his age would ordinarily be taken as a negative in either the Supreme or Ballymore. The Challow itself is not a race that has covered itself in glory with horses who have won it and come here afterwards too.

I can't bring myself to get involved at the current prices for him, but feel I may have been a little hasty writing him off entirely.

It takes a good man to admit his previous wrongs. :)

Where is doc with his stat about Challow winners.

Champ the lay of the week surely

Doubling Galvin / Al Dancer in Supreme with Angels Breath in the Ballymore before todays run

I still Angels Breath comes here... some decent prices about for him still

To be fair the 8/1 nrnb is a bit of a gift really for Angels Breath

Despite differing owners even I'm not sure Nicky is likely to run Angel's Breath against Champ/Birchdale tbh. It has been noted that they really like Angel's Breath so unsure why he would pitch one against another when they are his best.

Can see the idea of backing NRNB as it won't matter too much anyway, if you're happy to tie funds up.

“We’ve got two horses. We don’t want to run them against each other. It’s two miles three and a half furlongs tomorrow. I think after Saturday we should see where the horses are going” Dai Walters on ATR

That's a worry though! We don't want to run them against each other :highly_amused: Just another owner who contradicts himself!

The hope for me is no matter what Angel's Breath does tomorrow, that Al Dancer gets hammered in the Betfair hurdle and AB can continue his journey in the Supreme.

Ive cashed out my 33/1 ballymore bet, Id be pretty disappointed if he ended up in this race after Nickys comments about him running in the Supreme

You, me and a few others I suspect would be Billy.
