Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2019

Shame about BOD, sure Gordy would have come out and said if there’s a real issue. Imagine they just don’t want a hard race; would have been nice to find a small race somewhere to get some more hurdling practice in

Only bookie I'm not with.

Anyone had issues with them?

I'd perhaps tickle 40/1.

Haven't had any issues so far but only placed a few bets and haven't withdrawn yet.

Tony Calvin's son works for them.

Cannot find the Original post now or who it was but RE Clarendon Street, a mate of mine is also in that syndicate and he got the email from 'Nicky' on the 7th Jan saying CS will bypass Cheltenham.

Seems they may have had a change of heart as he now has entries in this and the AB

JTH
I have shares in CS and we’re told EBF route and NH says he doesn’t favour Cheltenham
That said he may have had second thoughts
CS entered up next week

With BOD out of the race tomorrow, and a slight worry something might be wrong, I've taken 33s Relegate for this as I can see her running very well tomorrow.

Gordon Elliott reports that Battleoverdoyen will go straight to the festival - if he was a betting man - to the Ballymore. In great form so decided not to risk him

Lovely. I think it's a wise move for him and easy game and may well pay off in the ballymore and Albert bartlett respectively. This is not a race I'd want to be Involved in tomorrow personally with chelt on the horizon.

Benie Des Dieux
Presenting Percy
Tiger Roll
Shattered Love
Balko Des Flos
Penhill
Laurina
Blow By Blow

A similar amount ran and at the DRF and won though at Cheltenham so I'd guess we'll have to trust the trainers!

i would love Commander of Fleet to bolt up tomorrow and give all those summer bets some new hope

knew novice hurdler/juvenile hurdler division didn't have many.
some of the list don't really count as there's no real race for them at Dublin, Laurina, Penhill,Tiger Roll, BDD.

But, the interesting thing is
Presenting Percy, although he ran later in Feb.

But
Balko Des Flos
Shattered Love

both ran at xmas and straight to cheltenham, and appeared better for it.

Yeah there was no agenda to it, they were the two I had in bold to start but then I added the others to make it the ones who had NO RUN rather than missed on purpose.

I notice I didn't explain the code haha.

I have no recollection of why BDF or SL skipped, and we're probably too early to read into the DRF as a guide... especially as this season vastly differs from last

Thanks for that delsie. Happy with that news.

it definitely looks like a festival for the big novice races really. as pointers towards cheltenham, in it's infancy no doubt.

No real reason to suggest the horses that miss it will not perform well at cheltenham,
but I'd prefer to have a horse onside that has ran well here for sure.
It's Just more solid form due to the competition being so healthy.
Pace of races are also usually solid championship style .
More light than shade for me.

Yeah, more light than shade I agree.

I suppose the Flogas and 2m6f Novice Hurdle lend themselves to procude "multiple" festival winners... as you could feasibly have a JLT/RSA/Handicap chaser in them... and the Nov Hurdle could be a point towards the Ballymore or Albert Bartlett... will have to factor that in over the coming years when using them as 'trials' but completely agree about the competition and pace etc.

Leaving a race behind is the only real negative I can think of, and there seems to be ample time or a nice break so it's a minor quibble, if a quibble at all!

Just looking at tomorrows 12:50 ...

Is Rhinestone a NRNB bet for this race?

25/1 - more likely to go for a handicap BUT if he won, he has to go Ballymore and isn't a 25/1 shot?

Unlikely they run him for the sake of it unless he wins? Shot to nothing?

I think Albert bartlett / martin pipe depending on the result tomorrow personally.

That's the 2 what I backed him any race for anyway

I've added the same for Albert Bartlett... Martin Pipe only 14/1 but he shouldn't shorten for that tomorrow IMO
