I know we are all looking forward to this years festival but I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for horses to look forward to at Cheltenham 2020 and their possible targets. We regular hear trainers say we won’t be doing much with him/her this year etc. Gordon Elliott said something similar after Battleoverdoyen’s debut until several injuries forced him to change plans. Off the top my head......

Battleoverdoyen RSA
Apple of Gordon’s eye? has done all that has been asked of him so far. Next up DRF

Cracking smart RSA
Was due to go down this route this year but plans were changed to the stayers hurdle

Andy du Fresne JLT
Bought at the Cheltenham sales for £330,000. Won a bumper today impressively and hopefully he goes to Cheltenham but it could be a ‘looking after him’ season

Draconien Arkle
Was due to go down this route and would have been a popular selection before injury ended his season

There are lots more, hopefully you guys can help my failing memory:)

Buveur D'air Champion Hurdle
Apples Jade Mares
Altior Champion Chase:devilish:

Just to annoy JackieMoon - MY selection is

Birchdale - RSA

:triumphant:

Envoi Allen started out at 20/1 for the ballymore this season imagine he’ll be 12/1 area

Champ - RSA, or Gold cup

Champ - RSA, or Gold cup

Get in the bin? :highly_amused:

1000/1 that Champ wins a Gold Cup in his hard-pulling, over hyped career, let alone as a novice up against Presenting Certainty :very_drunk:

Lamarckise a possible for mares novices race if she qualifies (cheers Scooby)

I’ll be surprised if JP McManus does not have the favourite in at least one of the Novice chases. With Rathhill, Champagne Platinum, Birchdale, Dickie Diver and Champ, he’s gonna have a hell of a hand in these races. He could even leave one over hurdles.

Saldier - Any Race (hopefully over a fence, Arkle/JLT)

Breaken - Any Race

I'll save this one for future reference.

Presenting Percy (Stayers or Pertemps).:devilish:
