Triumph Hurdle 2019

Harry Derham didn't mention a setback. He said they haven't done anything with him yet and the owner buys them with a view to go chasing.

Was he meant to work sunday morning? And is there a reason why "he hasn't done anything yet"

Trust me. Only back him using NRNB. I won't be mentioning him again. Until, should he be confirmed on the day.

No doubt but it's not all doom and gloom they have 3 weeks to get some work into him.

If they haven’t done anything with him yet I can’t see him being ready for Cheltenham in 6 weeks

NRNB the only way if anyone fancies him. I understand it's hard to cash big prices and some may want to leave him at a big price. That's fair enough. Just got to weigh up all info available.

If you don't cash or lay off and back nrnb. And he doesn't make it there, then obviously you have to take it on the chin.

As Bricktop put it so well in the film Snatch "if I throw a dog a bone, I don't want to know if it tastes good or not" All grown ups here, thats antepost betting for you, keep info like that coming Scooby

He mentioned him on his own accord he wasn't asked about him. I suspect this was recorded on Sunday or Monday morning the latest. They usually publish a day after recording.

'He's not done much yet so far so I can't tell you a huge amount but he's form in France reads well so I hope he will be a very very smart 4yo

He hasn't been with us for long he had a little break in France and then came over so in terms of the plan I do not know. Hopefully we'll get him up together and whether he has a gallop... tbh whether he even goes for the Triumpth I don't know. Owner buys horses to be grade 1 chasers so Triumpth not the be and end all. I would imagine the next 3 weeks/month will tell us. We'll get to know him a bit more I couldn't tell you much about him.'

Now that would suprise me.
He had 1 run diddnt like it, they put him back into the top races over hurdles

If you stay in France and you want to go to the grade 1s over hurdles, you need to step up all the way to 3 miles+ (French champion hurdle) . At a staying track in auteuil.

This lads a 2 miler, he's bags of pace and he can settle to drop in. You wouldn't be sending him up to 3 miles out of choice.
So you either sell him for a ton of cash. Or try and turn him into a stayer.

Blue Dragon was a hell of a horse but got ruined trying to send him up to 3. I'd have loved to see him in a CH.

Thinking Chasing aye, who'd of thought ;-) Although to be fair Harry was just guessing so you could be right Scooby

He's already been chasing and hated it . The previous owner said he won't be doing that again. But tbf, are fences are like there hurdles.
I think he's a CH horse but to be fair I don't have a spare million to find out .

He does look like one for now. Doesn't have the scope Polirico has.

Jesus is that what they paid!!!!! Thats incredible

Tbf theyre buying a proven quantity . You can do that, or for the same money. You can have. Dostal Phil, canelie and Chirico vallis. (with no offence to JP and monsieur barbre) but are probably now worth a tenner and 3 tins of spaghetti hoops between them.

If Pic D'Orhy doesn't show up then it has to be all about Fakir D'oudairies for me.

I've missed the wonder prices, so well done to those who are on, but the race at Auteuil when PD, FD & Konitho all finished behind Porto Pollo looks as solid as you are likely to get now.

Adjali well beat too, so the angle on form lines for him are looking less strong now.

11/2 is still a fair enough price for a C&D winner, stuffing the was 3rd favourite for the race, by some 16 lengths, and I am going to have to add him to my portfolio.

I can't be having the flat bred horses either.
