Albert Bartlett 2019

Yeah he looks the rough gritty type you would want heading here but aye wouldn't have him down as likeliest winner. Least he's shown some reason as why they've paid big bucks for him from ptp scene and plenty to work with next year now.

He's a good bit better than rockpoint.
Good luck to them they stumped up £400k they'd have been a shade dissapointed to date. But there in business now.
He's not going bartlett though.

If he shows up, I will probably a few quid on him Scoob, seen as I have followed him this season. Be a right royal pain in the ass if I hadn't anything down on him on the day and happened to win.

At 33/1, I am happy to take the chance on him now each way. Price is fair.
 
Carefully Selected entered for the 2m 4f maiden at Navan on Saturday. Rain forecast for later in the week so fingers crossed conditions are suitable for him to line up.

Feels like a relief but fingers crossed he turns up AND performs seem two pretty big hurdles to overcome.

Most trainers start them out in maidens over shorter than there optimum trip before stepping up. He could go Ballymore but I still think the Albert Bartlett is his trip if he makes it to the festival.

Age, breeding (albeit limited) and number of runs would be positive for the AB, have him covered so hoping he goes :)

Couldn't rule out shorter but it all seems to point this way now
 
Nice to see CS entered hopefully be AB for me everything from willie indicts AB next few weeks will be interesting with Cheltenham in mind
 
Been looking at this race for months now and still nothing jumping out at me grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:confused:
 
I do seem to remember him saying "the further the better" for CS.

I doubt he'll show up this weekend + Allaho will probably go as he's had a run already.

Rain due next week as well so probs hold him back a week.

Experience is everything.
A few strong stats were banded around last year about horses with less experience tend to struggle, I think the cut off point that was mentioned was a min of 5 races, then Kilbricken Storm wins with just the 4 previous runs though he had run in PTPs.
But such a brutal race demanding extreme stamina of novices it makes sense that greater experience can only help...

I do include PTP's/NHF races in minimum races stats, and on that basis KS easily qualified on that front, that said, I still didn't have him and given the conditions last season you could argue that the stats could have less substance to them.
