Albert Bartlett 2019

Have you seen how many novices he's got. He's already said he'll have to fit them in where he can. He said he'd found 1 for I can't explain. He'll put in rathhill for the tolworth and now will have to find somewhere for birchdale.

I'm fully aware.

Are you aware that the previous two got well beat?

Wouldn't surprise me if Birchdale was to complete the set :devilish:

I Can't Explain and Rathill were both half stakes cash out, post race

I think that's a fair enough amount.

I'd prefer that that a bet on him in a single tomorrow

I don't see it, as I see birchdale better than champ. And I can't see champ moving from the ballymore. So personally I think both run. I dont see why you'd sent a horse like him to the bartlett for the sake of it.

Ive backed Tidal Flow to beat Birchdale tomorrow. Cant have Birchdale over Champ.

The form of his win over course and distance on debut has worked out very well after Clarendon Street won at Wetherby but the horse I’m very worried about, however, is Tidal Flow who we have finished second to twice with Downtown Getaway and Before Midnight, but I do think Birchdale is better than those which does give me confidence. On homework, this is where gallop watching and comparisons would send most people to the poor house because this horse would slaughter*Champ*in a piece of work but look what he did in the Challow Hurdle and*Rathill*would probably be the more sharper of the three but look what he did in the Tolworth last week! On what I see at home Birchdale is definitely more of a 2m4f horse, but I may be wrong, as what they do at home can sometimes be completely different to what you see on the racecourse. That said, this horse has been improving all the way through and I’m very hopeful of a bold performance.

Scoob's enthusiasm is as infectious as Frank Hickey's, be that for better or for worse.

I love it :triumphant:

Solid performance from Rockpoint today on a less than favourable flat track and a trip too short, hope he's put away now until the festival.

Out to 33/1 with PP/Betfair, surprises me that.

I'm surprised they've pushed him out after that CoD. 33/1 taken.

Yeah I’m surprised too, I thought they would have expected him to get bet but abit of an over exaggeration for me. Already on 16’s might take 25’s

They done the exact same thing with Kilbricken Storm after he ran over a trip too short prior to winning this race, the difference being that Rockpoint has shown he doesn't lack for pace but is ultimately a staying type.

Time will tell, but I suspect 33/1 won't be what he will be come the day of the race.

Anyone who reads Tony Calvin's pieces (half mad-hatter, half genius) will know he'll be scooping up every bit of those 33s.

Haven't backed it myself but it is a classic overreaction. Giving weight on good ground over an inadequate trip. I suspect Tony is balls deep now :devilish:

What did anyone make of Beakstown today ? not saying hes good enough to win this and will no doubt be better next year over fences, but that looked an efficient run today and i'm not usually taken by skelton horses

I was very impressed, I like the horse as he is a bit of a monkey but it seems when his mind is on it he is very decent. not sure if he is quite good enough for this though.
