He's not bothered about the Spring for CDO this season so I'd trust PFN to have him right for Kempton. He's possibly the best target trainer out there, imo.

He doesnt have that long to recover

and he was fully fit for this today, it wasnt just a prep run for the king George like his reappearance the last two years

Bristol galloped him into the mud on heavy ground

it was a gruelling test today

Time will tell but it wouldn't put me off him one bit.

Found it decided to drop 1/4 point in case they supplement him

To me Clan Des Obeaux was travelling all over Bristol but suffered with the heavy ground. Cruised up alongside Bristol 2 out when Daryl was looking the wrong way.

That says to me he was A1 for the race and also it may not have been much work for him for the 3 miles or just shy of before he came to win the race.

From 2 out to the line is where he may have exerted too much in the ground but I agree with FM he should have more than enough time to recover.

The King George dream is still alive for Real Steel...

From the most bullish trainer in ze world.

I was hoping for much better as a backer, so let's hope he's right

Think he has the finishing speed and the engine. Just needs to go over the birch not through it....a minor matter

...and I recall the stable tour suggesting Kemboy will run in Ireland over Christmas?

Real Steel remains but looking an unlikely winner given its last run.

Any views on this being the aim for Allaho? If he wins the John Durkan tomorrow this race/track could look made for him
