Quite a bit of blue for N'golo today for this race.

He'd have to have a squeak woudlnt he?

His irish rating is 138 so with tax would still get in.

He is between 10-16/1 - but can be backed at 14/1 any race with hills. May have a slice of that.

Where did the move on N’Golo come from?
        Tipster bet?

You would have thought so but I haven’t seen anything as of yet.

No I haven’t, and I’m not convinced this would be a target for him.

A step up in trip could be good, but a Graded race in the next few weeks would tell them more.

I was thinking a strongly run two miles in the county hurdle would be perfect for him

Willie used to have a pretty good record in this back in the day when he had Gigginstown horses to cheat with

I remember cleaning up with Don Poli, when he was with Willie.

He was the only Irish runner in the race.

Oh how times change in a very short period.

I would favour NGolo running in the County, than this race.

Do you not see the angle for improvement up in trip with him SW?

                        Yes, I can see that.

I would think either a step up in trip OR a fast run 2 Mile race, would see potential improvement in him.

I wouldn’t think that both are necessary though.

If the intention for N’Golo, is a Festival handicap then he could go for the big 2M Handicap at the DRF, to see if a big field fast pace handicap improves him.
If he ran in it, and did well, then he may stick to the 2M, and go County.

There isn’t a 2M4F DRF Handicap Hurdle, and Gordon uses the 3M Handicap Hurdle there for one of his key Martin Pipe horses.

Its more difficult to predict Willies Grade winners/placed horses going into handicaps, than it is Gordon’s, so I’d not be interested in N’Golo for this race unless the trainer had confirmed it, or entered the horse in it next month.

Im just writing a short piece for the Irish Racing Programme in the diary section for January that shows a horse following Gordon’s path with an entry for a Pipe-Elliott favoured race.

For me he’s been on the go a long time now and not showing me any sign that he has thrived on it. Not sure I’d want him coming out again if I had him in mind for anything at the festival.

I have N’Golo at 25/1 Any Race from after his Galway Festival race in July.
To be honest, even though that looks good now, I am not convinced he’s going to win at Cheltenham, and I am thinking that’s a losing bet.

WH have slashed FANTASIO D'ALENE from 33s into 20s this afternoon.

The other bookies havent moved though.

...interesting, has an entry on Monday. Might be a good one for the ‘win today’ market.
