Hi FF - there are stacks of ways to earn the free bets if you don't mind doing a lot of laying on the exchanges to make them relatively risk-free, and it's not so much the fact that I'd have a lot of free bets on there that I'd be concerned about, it would be more that they could potentially all be mixed in with my real money bets so that the P&L at the end wouldn't add up.

It definitely affects the nature of my bets too, as thankfully I wasn't half as concerned last season at having a couple of points of someone else's money on a complete punt on Flinteur Sacre when he made his disastrous hurdles debut as I would been if it had been my own hard earned!

      Fair enough mate, cheers.

Not enough for me to be interested, personally, but wish those on him the best of luck.

I always marked them down with * or ** to mark their points equivalent. I have a spreadsheet that I use to capture every bet I place so while it doesn't feature into my diary, I'm comfortable that how those bets are earnt are captured in my overall picture (plus Cheltenham is about 80% of my total staking of the year)

Just seen this post. Sat in my lounge and keep re-reading it and chuckling to myself over again. Wife and kids wonder what's going on.

It's the 'cheers nan, wheres grandad the cunt' line that is the icing on the cake. Brilliant!

Elle Est Belle.. the way she stayed on looked more likely a ballymore horse next year rather than supreme would you say ? Unless another race has been touted ..

She’s British, cross her off the list

Outside the top 2 Three Stripe Life is the one I’m personally taking out the race for next season. Could be very smart orrrrr... they could hide his ability and then hose up in a handicap! Either way it’s fun to watch.

                    • Chaps a random one but hopefully get a few answers!

Me and a friend are planning on making up for a lost year this season and doing a few trips! So planning to fly over and go to Sandown for Tingle Creek meeting - go to racing Friday and Saturday, and make the trip to Romford Dogs on the friday night. I can see via google that Sandown - Romford is roughly 65-70 mile, what are you talking roughly for a taxi for that trip? And has anyone any hotel recommendations for staying close to Sandown?

of course providing we are allowed back on tracks by then?!

                      Cheers!
