And I work.
And none of my friends would want to watch racing.
And I have no friends.
And I have no money.
And I don't drink.

More serious note, how is everyone doing?
I am struggling a bit. First lockdown was alright for me because I could be in the garden a lot. It's too cold and dark too quickly now to make that an option.
I was looking at those outdoor heaters that beer gardens have, but they're a few hundred quid, cost a lot to run and are bad for the planet from the very brief look I had last night. Anyone got one/heard different?

Assume Mark Walsh will be getting the majority of them

I'm in tier 2 but it doesn't hugely affect everyday life, I have to say the biggest issue I've had for 6 months is not being able to go racing, those racedays doubled up as a mental release, bit of fresh air and all that.
Anyone else here a tier 3 ?
How is everyone coping ?

Pissed off I can't go racing or watch my Football Team . Plus I'm going to be a Grandpa for the first time next month so that is exciting but also annoying with current restrictions. Apart from that I'm cracking on with things.

We're Tier 2 for the time-being, but we border Greater Manchester so it's just a matter of time. To be fair I'm probably similar to you, not real change to every day life, however it's the little things that I miss now. Going to the pub and getting some chips and cheese whilst stumbling home, on a school night.
It's also not having something to look forward to isn't it (I think), no race meetings, potentially no Cheltenham, no holidays?
I'm so, so lucky my best mate lives alone so 'we' have bubbled with him.... so I know I'm luckier than most...but I still can't help feeling a bit flat about it all.

Glad to hear that though - you/we are fortunate we have some space on the internet to vent aren't we really. I tried explaining 'the forum' to my Nan a few weeks back. What a can of worms that was. Should have just mentioned the weather again.

We're in local lockdown here in North Wales but covid secure pubs, restaurants etc remain open...until Friday when the 'firebreak' lockdown comes into force for 17 days and only takeaways allowed.
My brother, in a Tier 3 area, goes to a hospice tomorrow but, as I understand it, visits are allowed under the 'reasonable excuse' get out given that I'm his closest living relative and executor.
Not great if I'm honest.

Not great at all Archie. I feel for you and your brother.
My mother is in a carehome. Has chronic emphysema, is five and half stone, caught covid, and incredibly is the only one of the seven who caught it that survived. I've been unable to visit her since lockdown. At her end she's still sharp of mind but bedbound and has been staring at four walls without a single visitor for 6 months. To add to that my Dad died not long before lockdown and she wasn't well enough to go to the funeral. I reckon most of us have it easy compared to her.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
