….strangely enough there was a RaB for Saint Felicien to win today & CH @ 125-1 so somebody must’ve been thinking along those lines.

Gordon mentioned he has Teahupoo and others, alongside Saint Felicien, for similar races, so it’s likely either Thehupoo or Saint Felicien could take in the Grade 2 4yo Only Hurdle at Limerick on Weds 29th December.

      The “Espoir D’Allen” route.

So what's your crystal ball telling you Saxon - where do you think he'll wind up in March?

I certainly wasn't thinking Champion Hurdle after yesterday but suppose it is still early days with SF.

He's not flashy but doesn't strike me as a horse they need to step up to 2 1/2 miles at this stage.

Was feeling pleased with myself for getting on board early for the County - but starting to have my doubts now.

If they aim high between now and March he could end up on a pretty stiff mark .

Wouldn't want anything above the low 140s for the County imo.

It'll be interesting to see his rpr from yesterday. Imagine he won't be far off getting 140 already.

        Be interested in your thoughts.

He is now quoted between 20/1 and 33/1 for the Champion Hurdle, after two lifetime runs, which comparatively is similar to his stablemate (and owners) Teahupoo.

So you could argue that’s ‘fair value’ or ‘no value’ based on whether you thought Teahupoo was a lively one for the Champion Hurdle.

I would think, that in a dire year for new Champion Hurdle contenders, that if Teahupoo and/or Saint Felicien improve enough in their next races, that one of them could be aimed toward a Grade 1 Hurdle, over 2M, alongside their owners Aspire Tower.

Aspire Tower has a mark of 159, 10lb above Teahupoo and you can get 50/1 for him in the Champion Hurdle, where he was 4th as a 5yo last season.

Strange that he is dismissed so quickly having been only a length-and-a-half short of placing in the Champion Hurdle last season, in what is referred to as the “difficult year as a 4yo rising 5”.

Robcour are building quickly into a serious NH operation.

            • Impervious entered for the royal bond. Anyone heard if She will actually take up the entry? And if she does and runs well/wins could she go for this rather than the mares novice as as the supremes a grade 1 and mares is only a grade 2 and would have to carry the 5lb penny?

Not priced up in bet365 market but is 16/1 for Ballymore.

Had a look through recent race history of the royal bond and saw Airlie Beach won this but still went on to mares novice where she finished nowhere.

Could see Impervious going well, no idea if good enough to win, but don't see any big Mullins entry so looks on paper like its Mighty Potter and/or Three Stripe Life v My Mate Mozzie v Impervious.

                • Doesn't look the strongest royal bond

Would think willie has something a good bit better than anything entered

But the longer the rain stays away the less experience willies horses will have come march

                  • Well Grand Jury made difficult work of that didn't he at 2/7

                    • Grand Jury looks a difficult ride. Doesn't seem to concentrate on the job at hand.

Got it done, but he sure made life difficult and wasn't overly impressive.

                      • Grand jury cut to 20’s for that, be good to see a ride over hurdles on softer ground

                        • Grand Jury won't be winning anything at Chelt or even place in any of the novice races IMO
Form of the Punch race isn't great, 2nd and 3rd well beaten since and he was poor again today.

Completely agree. Competition is far too strong in this race for Grand Jury to get anywhere near.

He’s always been 20/1 with PP so is unchanged.

Not sure about other firms but 365 haven’t put him back up yet.

                                Down to 25/1 from 33/1 with 365
