Interestingly, none of Wilie's JLT winners ran in the Drinmore, the Killiney Novice Chase at Leopardstown at the back end of January seems to be the main pointer. Will watch the entries for that closely.

At this stage I'd have Bacardys as the RSA horse, Rathvinden as the JLT horse and maybe let Bamako take his chance alongside him. As I've said I wasn't convinced of his standing in the pecking order, but the form of his last races has worked out exceptionally well so he has every right to take his chance in some of the big ones this season. Not sure Willie has, or needs, a 4 miler.

Happy to take on Death Duty at 4/7 in the Drinmore. 10/3 Rathvinden, and 10/1 Dinaria, looks more than fair to me, and I can only see those getting shorter once the market takes proper shape. I have Death Duty backed for any race at the festival so I won't count it as a loser if he wins nicely, as I said, ideally himself or Rathvinden put in a good display. Will be a strong formline to take into the JLT whoever wins.
