A different one from Graham Cunningham..people looking for alternatives now

But Module is a live outsider

Assessing the shape of the Jewson field at this stage is tough.

Dynaste seems more likely to head for the RSA (though stranger things have happened) while Fago and Arvika Ligeonniere seem to have Arkle preferences at this stage.

Aupcharlie and Unioniste appeal as a couple of likely Jewson lads - and we may well get to see both again before Cheltenham - but there are worse 20/1 shots in the Festival markets than Module at present.

Tom George stressed that no decisions have been made, but this lightly-raced gelding came up the Cheltenham hill strongly to land a useful handicap hurdle off a BHA mark of 130 last winter and is now rated 146 over fences after following an emphatic win by thrashing second raters at Leicester in midweek.

Sir Des Champs recorded a BHA mark of 162 to land last year's Jewson while Noble Prince ran to 156 in victory the year before.

It's clear Module needs to progress again then, but he's a good jumper with scope to go on again and his future looks bright.

Jockey Paddy Brennan feels Module has excellent claims in the Jewson Novices' Chase at Cheltenham next month.

The six-year-old has won over hurdles and twice over fences since joining Tom George last season, with his only defeat coming when he fell on his chasing debut at Exeter.

Brennan feels Module has so much potential he could even develop into a Gold Cup horse in time.

"He's a very exciting horse. At Exeter he tipped up at the first, but he learned from that and has won his next two," the rider told At The Races.

"He's unbeaten in England when he's stood up, so he's very exciting.

"He's got an awful lot of talent and I picture him in time developing in time into maybe even a Gold Cup horse, because he wants a trip.

"The Jewson is definitely the plan at the moment and we're all getting a little bit excited about him. Fingers crossed he could be very good."

Module is a 14-1 shot with Ladbrokes for the Jewson Novices' Chase on March 14.

“He disappointed at Fairyhouse the last day so we backed off him and gave him a bit of a break. He seems to be back as good as ever,” said de Bromhead.

“He jumped super and battled well. I hope that trip was a bit sharp for him and we'll step him up a bit in distance.

“He's entered in the Jewson at Cheltenham. I also put him in the novice handicap chase but he probably won't be qualified for that now.”
