Yes good boost for CP and you'd have to think Master Blueeyes will be Triumph bound after that.

Long Call did almost exactly as expected

Yeah good point OV. He's apparently desperate to change that and have a winner at Chelts, but then which trainer isn't?

He is a victim of his own plotting success over the years and he probably suffers most at the hands of Phil Smith. His other issue is that he likes to get horses in at the bottom end of the weights and this can be a real problem now as the handicap ratings have started to increase making it more difficult to ensure you make the cut whilst still being well handicapped.

Wonder what price you can get for JOB/JP to train/own the winner of this race. It'll be crazy short but will save a lot of man hours working out which ones are dogs and which are the plot jobs

Just noticed that Master Blueyes only went up 1lb for his win last week. Must have a decent chance in this race.

Just pick the best rated flat horse ...worked well for this race in early years.

Check out this weeks Weekender as it seemed to suggest that he'd be kept back for Aintree as he'd appreciate the longer run in....

I've took 14/1 Nrnb, just in case. Seems too good an opportunity for them to pass up.

Housesofparliament, Joseph O'Brien's one-time ante-post favourite for the JCB Triumph Hurdle, is likely to miss Cheltenham and the rest of his juvenile campaign after suffering an injury when disappointing at Leopardstown on Sunday, his trainer has revealed.

The St Leger third suffered a cut when finishing seventh of eight, some 43 lengths behind Mega Fortune, in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle.

O'Brien, who also saddled the sixth, Bhutan, and last, Sword Fighter, said: "Housesofparliament is likely to be out of Cheltenham and probably the rest of the season. He suffered a nasty cut to his knee in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown. I'm not sure as to when exactly the incident took place in the race.

"It's quite a bad cut and we will need to give him a few weeks before re-examining it. Hopefully he will be ok but at this stage I would say it is likely that he will be out for the remainder of the season now.

"Bhutan was having just his first start over hurdles at Leopardstown and should learn from that but Sword Fighter was probably a little bit disappointing."

O'Brien still has Landofhopeandglory, whose price ranges from 10-1 to 20-1, for the Cheltenham Grade 1 and added: "Landofhopeandglory remains an exciting horse in the juvenile hurdle ranks but he will need to run once more before we make any Cheltenham plans for him. We plan on running him in a Grade 3 juvenile hurdle at Fairyhouse later this month and then make a plan from there."

Kings website had this which suggested skipping the festival for a later race back there...
"...like Master Blueyes, who gained an overdue success and could skip the Festival and wait for the Grade 1 Anniversary Hurdle at Cheltenham,..."
Both this and the weekender comments were before they knew they'd only gone up a pound, so could still turn up?
