Yep, it looks a poor race given the recent performances but any could win it if they return to form, might chuck a couple of quid at Wishful thinking ew

Jockey speak for a massive hematoma ...

CF probably the one to beat.

SDG is going to have better ground than Cheltenham.

Think Simply Ned might offer a bit of each way value. 2nd here to Balder last year and ? over most of them

This is a cracking race, any one of half a dozen could win this.
Always been a huge Champagen Fever fan (not convinced connections have steered the horse in the right direction over the years, he should be winning Gold Cups) but couldn't back him at 100/30 against the class on offer here, wouldn't be falling off my chair if Al Ferof prevailed....

Al Ferof - no previous course win or place
SDG - has never performed on the track 384 around Aintree which is dreadful against the rest of his form
DC - 10L 2nd to Holywell last year but better over this trip and a better horse this year. Unlucky ? LTO - Shortlist
WT - C&D winner ( the only one). There are worse 25/1 shots but 12 now.
BS - won on his only previous visit to the course and can be forgiven Cheltenham (doesnt suit) - Shortlist
CC - Aintree form is 122 and he 2s behind Spirit Son and Sprinter but too many issues of late
JS - beaten 19 and 23 L on previous trips to track ( in lesser races) - passed over
SN - has a PU and 2 on previous Aintree visits. 2 was behind Balder last year. No G1 win.
CF - course debutant and missed Cheltenham. - Beaten by DC earlier this season when falling.- shortlist

I think Balder is probably the bet - similar to SC yesterday.

Very impressive from Don Cossack and another G1 missed by Bryan Cooper but who is to say he would have won on him. McCoys third of the week.

Better by Cue Card and plenty of ? remain about the rest.
