Supreme Novices 2018

I think there is one chance that Samcro goes Supreme - if the ground is soft or heavy. Thought it worth a speculative point on that being the case

It can't. And I'm not being argumentative. There is no way on earth he'd be 10/1 and bigger for the supreme if they thought of sending him there. By all means if you think it back him. But that's money straight in t he bank for BF sportsbook.

I don't think anyone other than connections can say he couldn't go supreme. A month ago it was 'he goes Ballymore' and now it's 'at the moment we go for the Ballymore'. Of course the Ballymore is the more likely race but that doesn't mean he couldn't or won't go supreme. Plenty of future star chasers have gone the supreme route and done well. Best Mate, War Of Attrition, Kicking King, there are probably more. I wouldn't encourage anyone to back Samcro without NRNB tho

i would of thought Connections and Yard money is down already at 16s for ballymore. That move in the market after the schooling hurdle in tipperary a while back was telling.

Of course it could happen, he'd be 1000 on the exchanges if it couldn't, not 10/1:highly_amused:. It's unlikely, but it can happen.

The supreme isn't any more prestigious or easier to win than the ballymore regardless of how well he wins?

If he beats sharjah then it's Mullins who will decode whether to take him on with getabird in the ballymore, Not the other way around?

I'd take the NRNB though if i hasn't already got any race at a bigger price despite the above point

Not sure why the Ballymore is an easier race to win Kev?

If he is electric over 2 miles on Sunday and wins comfortably then it does give them the option.....I do believe it's unlikely but I wouldn't be so bold in saying it can't happen.

Btw, I have no financial interest in him going for the Supreme, far from it.

Anyone think there's a bit of value in Real Steel in the Deloitte? He was badly outpaced last time before being hustled along quickly to make up the ground down the back. Coming to the last yes Sharjah did look the more likely winner but everyone knows how Patrick Mullins sit quiet as long as he can do as seen in many of his bumper rides. The way Townend reacted after the fall made me feel asif he a little bit left to go at  I'm not sure it may just be me but surely there wasn't going to be a massive amount between them to justify the difference in odds?

Think about his ballymore price on the exchange. Would be very attractive to lay.
80% of all bets on the ballymore through all bookmarking outlets. Has gone on samcro, from a very early stage.

Jusy trying to save people money. Aslong as they're aware that 10/1 they're taking is fraught with danger and literally should be written off as soon as that bets placed. . then it's not an issue.

Townend has elected to ride Sharjah this time although it has to be remembered that Patrick won the Deloitte last year on a 'reject'.

Talking of the exchanges, I see Samcro has taken a walk in the market for this race now. 12.5 currently, was down to 8.4, so a fair drift.

Wow! Talk about throwing down the gauntlet. See the bumper thread where Paddy Mullins says no horse should be odds on against Sharjah. When you bear in mind that Richi Rich says Getabird is his top novice it looks like Team Mullins are not buying into the Samcro hype. Who blinks first? Love this time of year! Opinions galore that's what makes Cheltenham such a buzz.

Real Steel is my only bet in the Supreme and I have pretty much given up on him. I am mystified about what happened last time. They were not going quick enough for him to just lose 6 lengths like that. Having had to make up the ground it wasn't the smartest move to then kick on so early. He was getting the worst end of the stick but I suspect both of them wouldn't have picked up that much. I don't think the actual winner would have ended up being beaten a long way.

With the unknown of Samcro and probably a stronger field in general I can't see any merit in supporting him. Best I can hope for is that he shows enough to warrant lining up in the Supreme. He certainly doesn't look as if he wants to go any further.

On the morning line Ruby said Samcro looks bullet proof so atleast one person in their camp thinks highly of him

Sayar definitely out - been settled as a loser on bet365 today

O'Leary is funny. Expecting Samcro to get beaten today :highly_amused:

My god I am excited for this race. Sharjah I hope runs well so we know just how good Samcro is!

That was sensational. A superstar is born!

Well done to all of you on at fancy prices.

I am buzzing. 10's to win any race and 10's NRNB on supreme. Come on!!!

Claimantakinforgan doing nothing to enhance his cheltenham claims there

After the two performances we have just seen there I think we know Getabird is nailed on for this now
