Mentions in the handicap thread this year began with Party Playboy on 30th November, and have since mentioned
Cartwright, Sire Du Berlais, The Storyteller, Tout Es Permis, Ronald Pump, Conflated, It’s All Guesswork, Silver Sheen, Dream Berry and Column Of Fire

Clearly Ireland seem to have worked out a path to handicapping and winning in recent years, and Davy Russell is the king of the race. Probably Davy could ride The Storyteller in 2020.

My own early selection for this race was THE STORYTELLER at 33/1 at Christmas, and I thank ‘Outlaw’ profusely for requesting a bet with the bookmaker who offered that price, and good luck to all forumites that followed in and took the bigger prices for the short time on the day that they were available.

Last Irish Qualifier: Punchestown 19th February 2020

Smart moves that are obvious to us are probably just as obvious to the handicapper. If they aren't, he isn't doing the job properly. Until the weights are announced, you can assume nothing.

Elliott moved into farming this by looks of recent trends , another strong hand this year. On The Storyteller personally , should go close.

The ratings top to bottom moves around from a 10lb band similar to a limited to 20lb being a full handicap with weights below 10st7lb.

Only dart I’ve thrown at this so far is Kilbricken Storm 33/1. Travelled like a dream in both starts this season, and Joe Tizzard has confirmed it is the plan.

Only one I've backed for this is Sunset Showdown at 33-1 might be a bit low in the weights but hoping he'll sneak in.

I was very taken by the way he traveled on New Years Day and he's been gradually sliding down the weights, my only concern is whether the Tizzards are capable of a handicap plot....

If i had backed him, I wouldnt like the stayers hurdle entry. It means to me, that when he does go for a pertemps qualifier, they're running him to win it, Rather than leaving something in the tank. Otherwise why enter up for the big one.
