    You would still have expected Buveur to scoot away at the last but he definitely lost a few lengths when Melon fell. a long time since the Fighting Fifth. Probably doesnt get 2m 4 on ground like this.

      I always thought he was best on soft ground... but open to correction.

      He doesn't seem to have run to form though. I expected him to win if he stood up!

      Even that Fighting Fifth doesn't look anywhere near as good as it seemed.

        Faugheen found to have Fibrillating heart after the race.
        R4 @AintreeRaces: Following the race, R. Walsh reported that FAUGHEEN (IRE), which was pulled up, ran flat throughout the race and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination found the gelding had atrial fibrillation.
