  • 2019 Aintree Hurdle

    Hopefully Buveur shows up here this year.

    Midnight Shadow saved for it.

    Willie will end something but could be very thin

    ....Sue Smith indicating this was on the agenda for Midnight Shadow during a recent stable tour;

    The Bingley trainer is set to be well represented on the northern circuit over the festive period.

    My Thursday tickets arrived this morning.

      ...and Silver Streak heading here;

      Evan Williams is looking forward to stepping Silver Streak up to two and a half miles in the Betway Aintree Hurdle, after the grey was the first British-trained runner past the post in the Champion Hurdle.

              Would love Apples Jade to come here but I assume she’ll be kept for Punchestown

                Think this race is made for Benie DD. If Mullins/Ricci let her run I shall be diving in head first. Proper Spring festival Mare unlike Apples.

                  You forgot what Apples did at Aintree as a 4 year old?

                  I'm still in the Buveur D'air camp, hopefully some of the Irish come across and he's available at a price.

                    Benie Des Dieux, Faugheen and Melon are all on course to line up against Buveur D'Air in the Betway Aintree Hurdle on Thursday and Ireland's champion trainer is keen for all three to run.

                    Mullins said: "All three are fit and well and ready to run. All three could be on the ferry on Tuesday morning and, at the moment, they are all running. It is nicely timed between now and Punchestown.

                    "We can't say that Benie Des Dieux has had a hard season so she's able to run. An extra half-mile is what Melon looks like he wants and Faugheen will have no problem with the trip and the ground."

                    "The only problem would be if the ground keeps drying up. That might be an issue for Benie, but the other two will be fine on the ground so they're good to go."

                      Christ I was going to lump on BDA at 11/8 with the assumption being that none of the Mullins horses would come over

                        Let’s wait and see what’s on the ferry tomorrow; I’d be shocked if all 3 run
