  • Enemy Number One - Patrick Veitch

    Anyone read this book ?
    Is it any good ?
Any other books similar that I may like.

I've read the Barney Curley ones and The druids Lodge and enjoyed them.

Got some long haulers coming soon and need a book or two.

It's a decent enough read Quevega, especially if you were into horse racing in the late 90's /early 2000's.

I'd take what he says with a huge pinch of salt though.

Not horse racing but 'Bringing Down The House' is a really good book. It's fairly old now but a crazy story about some MIT students who made a fortune off blackjack.

Just about my era - ish.
      I've heard he's a bit of a wrong un.

I think I've seen the movie version 21 with Kevin Spacey (another wrong un). I'll check that out too.

      Cheers FM
