    Colin Tizzard Chasers at Chepstow

Colin does well at Chepstow with his chasers and often sends decent ones here. He runs 2 today and both look likely to run big races under Robbie Power. Gone for an ew double at odds of 29/1 on the win side with sky bet.

CHRISTMAS IN APRIL ran a cracker 1st time out last season when 3rd of 19 in a very competitive cheltenham handicap hurdle so we know he can go well fresh. At the end of the season he switched to chasing he ran respectably at Chepstow on his chase debut and then really showed the benefit of that experience when only beaten 1/2 length at Perth on only his 2nd chase start over an unsuitably short trip. The rivals in those chase races had in the majority been chasing all season and were more experienced as opposed to Christmas In April who was a hurdler for most of the season.
That experience will be of great benefit today and there should be little doubt that this horse has plenty more to come over fences this season. He is potentially well handicapped, handles undulating tracks and the ground will suit. He must surely go close today and could prove hard to beat here as the step up in trip will suit and there looks no obvious rival to fear here

COPPERHEAD had 5 hurdles races last season and was a big improver winning his final 2 races in handicaps from 104 then 116. Tizzard has wasted no time in sending him chasing and he should improve greatly now chasing.
Truckers Lodge is fav but has been disappointing so far in 2 chase runs including last time over CD. and makes no appeal at short odds, though couldnt be ruled out as a possible winner for Nicholls.
The 2nd fav Prime Venture is 0/7 over fences and also potentially vulnerable.
COPPERHEAD is the youngest and makes his chase debut but he looks to have been found a great opportunity to make a winning debut by the Tizzards and we know full well that this operation knocks out decent chasers for fun so can expect him to know his job first time up.

2nd for Christmas In April to keep the ew double alive. Made a few mistakes as opposed to the surprise (to me) winner who jumped like a stag. Did well to get 2nd in the end as 3 fences out he didnt look likely to even finish top 5 but he stayed on ferociously and will no doubt lose his chase maiden status very soon.

Just need COPPERHEAD to place now to land a nice profit from the bet.

Have backed COPPERHEAD at 7/1 as an ew single. A lot of money about for FINAN BAWN and the market suggests its very fancied though his best form has come on sharp tracks and I dont think Chepstow will suit. Thr money says Im wrong though. We will see.

Hoping for an improved performance from COPPERHEAD today in the 1 30 Wincanton. Trainers in much better form now and Copper Head will become a dec3nt chaser in time.
Tough big field race but should go close today.

Very impressive. Thought all chance had gone when he made a bad mistake and almost unseated Robbie Power. Super performance. This will turn out to be a vey decent chaser in time.

Not in any of the Cheltenham markets as far aa I can see but could easily end up in the RSA or The Amateurs at the festival.
