Douvan and Monalee double pays 5/1 at the minute. That will do for me.

Fancy Monalee to prove the Flogas and RSA form was true and i don't see Min or UDS getting the better of Douvan if he's on his game.

If it wasn't for the threat of rain it would be a straight win bet. I think he is just a (much) better horse than Getabird. Russell was just wary of him getting up the hill at Cheltenham and couldn't peg the front three back.

Hopefully, Getabird doesn't get handed the ridiculously easy lead he got last time. That proved very little. Vision Des Flos wants a strong pace and Beyond The Law goes forward so tactically the favourite is in trouble.

Even if he wins impressively Paloma Blue will be winning the Arkle next year. Far more scope than the likely opposition.
Must confess to being worried by the lack of support. I see him as around a 5/2 chance. Makes me wonder if he is pitching up off the back of some sort of problem.

According to his column Russell thinks Ben Dundee is his best chance today. Pinch of salt time I think.

Best of luck to all players today, I can't remember the last time I won at Punch and having had my best Chelt/Aintree ever I'm not throwing any back.
Hope you all go through the cards....

Mainly a watching day for me at Punchy, but for interest I've had an ew trixie on Top ten, Sharjah and Jury Duty, 9's 14's and 14's respectively

Was De Bromhead telling it straight? That was a shocking performance. Not the ground, not a hard season. He should be beating Draconian on the bridle.

Would love to know how Draconian goes from a 12 length beating being given 6 pounds by Getabird to that!

Unfortunately I won’t know as betfair nor sky let me watch!

Noel Fehily kept Draconien out the back and let the others try to get Getabird unsettled, which he did. He was pulling hard after the first hurdle and was beaten a long way out, excellent ride from Noel.

Financial interest aside I really hope we see the old Douvan today

Haven't really been a fan of the horse since the efforts to anchor him. I think he was much better (and much more entertaining) before the handbrake was applied.

That was like the old Un De Sceaux. Probably his best performance. Take a bow (and keep the ride) Patrick Mullins.

                            What a horse UDS.
Unfortunately thats the bubble burst with Douvan now. Something may come out that hes feeling something as he didnt jump well.
Anyone watching Rte can see how shocked the team are. Ruby had Douvan a certainity and Paul T couldnt speak on his way in he was in shock that much

"The iron horse" Un De Sceaux.... did not anticpate that - had deserted him today - couldn't see any way Douvan lost with a clear round.

I don't know what to make of it but that is for another day, what an absolute belter UDS is!

That is the most incredible finish I've ever seen!
What on EARTH happened from the last to the line!
