  • Anyone fancy an Aintree yankee ?

I was putting one together and hit a brick wall so thought I might see what the views of the forum were.
I got as far as Balnaslow (Foxhunters) and Balko des Flos (Melling chase)....

I'll put up Diego Du Charmil in the Red Rum on Thursday. He looks very well handicapped with his chase rating 7lbs lower (i think) than his hurdle rating

Quite fancy wholestone in the stayers.

Will they do the right thing and drop vision des flos back to 2 miles for the novice?
Probably not, as slate house is in there aswell and is appealing at 25/1 in a weaker race than the supreme

I'm not a massive fan of Pipe horses but King's Socks (also in the Red Rum on Thursday) travelled through the Plate incredibly well and looked the winner up until the bend approaching 2 out when he put in a bad jump which ended any chance. The better ground and more importantly drop back in trip here should suit better as I think he just emptied a tad at that point and it was a tired jump if anything. Reminded me a little of the run Double W's had at Cheltenham last season in the Novice Chase on day 1 where the drop back saw him win this race.

Good shout. Very well handicapped and he was cruising last time out before making a silly mistake on landing.

Petit Mouchoir in the opener .. 4s joint fav with brain power but surely has that horse beat...PM cut his own throat at Chelt, as we all know, and still Brain power only just did him on the line for 2nd...PM has good aintree form...P2P winner under G Elliott so trip shouldnt be a problem and this division doesn't have anything oustanding in it at the moment..

I'd be cautious BN. Both are entered in the Maghull Novice Chase on Saturday over 2 miles and one, or both, are likely to turn up in that race.

Danny Kirwan got a big mention by Harry Skelton for the Bumper on Friday.

I'd already backed him to win any race at Cheltenham next year but he is 33/1 to win Friday and any race at Cheltenham 2019 - so i had a little top up.

That may interest a few on here.

I note Scarlet Dragon is taking Global Citizen on again.
Hutch gave SD an appalling ride in their first meeting at Kempton and whilst beat 9-10l he would have got very close if Hutch hadn't been asleep rounding the turn.
                        7/4 v 8/1 has to be wrong....

I hope Vision Des Flos turns up here tbh! Think he will show why he should have been in the Supreme and not the Ballymore if he does.

I like Balko Des Flos at the price against Min, who isn't proven at the trip.
Danny Kirwan I thought would be shorter than 9/4 based on his reputation

Looking for a couple of others for a yankee
