    He'll have plan Bs and Plan Cs but I'd be fairly sure this race isn't Plan A. I'm always amazed by the Cheltenham entries, all Mullins novice chasers will get hurdle entries and vice versa, must waste a fortune in fees every year...

    Right now I'd say the ground is quick enough for them to pull Kalif but there's rain due late morning and some of it quite heavy, unlikely to cheer racegoers up but it might just be the difference between the fav running and not. JPR One has to go close either way...

    I remember reading something weeks ago where the horse doesn't do a thing at home so has to be difficult to assess, he clearly has ability but the horse won't be making it easy for connections to figure him out, could be a case of the horse making fools of them...
