Stormy Ireland is still a cracking price at 8/1 IMO for the Triumph

It is a little bit based on comments, whereby Mullins said she was the best 4yo he has.... this was before Mr Adjudicator won at the Dublin racing festival.

I see the race between the two mares (Shakira and Stormy) and at 8/1 I think she's a knocking good bet at the moment!

      Cheers Ista.

Hello everyone. I haven’t been here long but I’m now a self-confessed FJ addict! Nice to meet you all.

      So we’ve got:

      Triumph
      County
      AB
      Gold Cup
      Foxhunters
      Martin Pipe
      Grand Annual

Not many obvious ‘bankers’ so we should be in for some interesting discussion. All opinions are welcome!

I’m in the camp that’s inclined to take on Apple’s Shakira based solely on value grounds. I missed the fancy prices and just can’t see the mileage in 3/1.

Cracking Smart Even if NExt Destination turns up.... the step up to 3m WILL bring out improvement IMO

          Cracking Smart - 6-Y-O

A very nice individual who has unfortunately hit the crossbar on his last two starts now behind Next Destination after three consecutive wins, one of which was a listed contest. Another with dual Ballymore Novices Hurdle and Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle entries he will go for the latter all being well.

The Theinval plot is pretty clear, and still a very backable price

              Santini?

Highly regarded at Seven Barrows. Lightly raced, probably improve for the step up in trip, good form (franked).

Yeah I'm a big fan of Santini too.

Also, Charli Parcs was dropped a pound to 144 after his Betfair hurdle effort when he ran really well but the ground took its' toll in the home straight, on better ground I'd give this one every chance.
Difficult to guess a weight at this stage but 144 will be around 11.00 give or take 2/3 lb....

Would like to put forward Might Bite, has been winning in some fashion and has the RSA under his belt (by a whisper sorry I mean whisker) could be fun if we have three winners going on to him but I would need a heart monitor as he jumps the last fence, he has a habit of misbehaving.. 4/1 is not giving it away but will certainly get a run for our money..

Agree with Stormy Ireland on the value and what Mullins has said about her.

Agree with Kev on Cracking Smart - has looked an out and out 3 miler in his races this year. Been tapped for pace in both runs against Next Destination and then stayed on stoutly at the end, getting very close on the latest run. The extra half mile will show him at his best.

He is exactly the type that wins the Bartlett - a tough, no nonsense stayer.

I would also propose Burning Ambition in the Foxhunters. He’s been fancied on here and just watched Enda Bolger after the race v Gilgamboa who seemed very impressed with him. To just be outbattled by Gilgamboa is as good form as your going to see for this and given that he will hopefully be improving I think 6-1 is great value.

Moon Racer @33/1 for the county

I watched him the whole way in the betfair hurdle, made good progress then didn’t push on but Tom Scud barely moved a muscle - I was actually fuming as I’d backed him to place. But a good prep for this on his reappearence and a good mark of 142

I agree with this and I'd be quite surprised if he wasn't up for the Imperial Cup/Cheltenham double.

I second that. I think he will win closely followed by Killultagh Vic and SJ.
