Augusta Kate has won well twice but is being looked afer until Aintree I believe. Invitation Only was being touted as Mullins hope but yet to run, heard they trying to get him out sometime this month. Capeland looked good when winning, Newbury in a few weeks could be next then 5 weeks from then until the bumper. Fulham Road out for season? Gigginstown Could send 3 bumper horses to Cheltenham, Lucky Pass would be of interest if turns up, Admiral Chief yet to run and Death Duty could be another one to watch if they run him. Inspired Poet is dead so shouldn't be in betting, nor should Myska who has run over hurdles.

Bit of a changing of the guard with Irish bumpers, Gordon Elliott could be regarded as the premier trainer in the sphere and has formed an outstanding partnership with Nina on board, I'll be looking closely at that partnership should it exist this year....

I've took a chance on Lucky Pass at 16/1 beat a Weld horse that had won it's previous race, last time out and then Avellino that it beat first time out, came out and win well at Down Royal next time.

Another thing to note with this race is the rising prominence of British challengers.
Irish racing was for many years a long way ahead of Britain when it came to bumpers having no less than 8 bumpers at the Punchestown festival for many years, British trainers saw bumpers as an introduction to NH racing with limited focus on getting horses fully wound up at that stage of their career, this no longer appears to be the case.

British horses have won 3 of the last 6 renewals.
The 2015 renewal saw British horses fill the first 4 places
The 2013 renewal was won by Briar Hill but British horses filled 4 of the next 5 places

I have always disregarded the British form and considered it as inferior in the past, this approach now needs a re-think ....

Agreed. Moon Racer won the October showcase bumper. The 2nd Modus had won on new years day in 2014. Maybe course form important for GB horses ?

Mullins has Invitation Only entered at Naas on Sat, Mayo...think I'll take a chance at 20's now more in hope than anything else. Its not a race to get too heavily involved in imo.

I think she will take on Limini. Different owners etc.

Myska has won a couple of novice hurdles so can't run in this....
