A horse I followed for much of last Summer is David Pipe's Ainsi Fideles.
As a 4yo I thought he ran him into the ground (8 runs in 5 months) and that showed when he was soundly beaten by Splash of Ginge at Cheltenham in October, but after a 4 month rest he came back and hacked up at Ascot beating Virak in a 12l 3rd and of course that horse lumped a big weight to a decisive win yesterday.
Ainsi Fideles is now rated within a few lb of the best staying novice chasers around (bar Vatour and Coneygree) and now proven over 3 miles he looks to have a great chance in the Betfred Mildmay Nov Chase at Aintree on Friday
