    SOLWHIT vs QUEVEGA

The feature €170,000 Grade 1 LADBROKES WORLD SERIES HURDLE on Thursday, April 25, promises to provide one of the clashes of the season when wonder mare Quevega, who has won the last three runnings, is set to meet the eight-time Grade One scorer Solwhit.

Charles Byrnes' charge followed up a victory in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham with an impressive success in the John Smith's Liverpool Hurdle at Aintree on Saturday. Another likely starter at Punchestown is the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Holywell, who finished runner-up at Aintree.

A strong contingent from Britain also includes the Paul Nicholls-trained Celestial Halo, who was second to Solwhit at Cheltenham, the David Pipe-trained Grands Crus, Reve De Sivola from Nick Williams' stable, Captain Sunshine (Emma Lavelle), Medinas (Alan King) and Menorah (Philip Hobbs).
